After his debut on Schema records with the stunning “La boca del rio”, S-Tone Inc. comes back with a new bass driven funk monster track.
Adequatly named “Take 4” (after Dave Brubeck ‘s “take five” which indeed only gives inspiration for the title ), this 121bpm 4/4 straight bass drum leaden track offers space for soloists on wha-wha soprano sax and electric guitar. Imagine wayne shorter after the “Bitches Brew” sessions and George Benson after the nuyorican soul treatment playing on the same stage. Jazzy chords and heavenly brazilian vocals complete the picture.
On the other side “Arejar”, from the previous album, receives the Soulstance treatment who give new life to the track with an intriguing bossa nova beat and harmonized chorus which open doors for the clubs to this elegant piece of music.
